Forever Behind

I sit and watch my almost five month old hitting new milestones every day and think...
...I am so far behind on my blog...

At least I take the pictures on time. This really is what he looked like on his four month birthday.

Loves: Smiling at people from a distance and having a good chat with me, or just himself. He also enjoys sitting up, but isn't quite strong enough yet to sit tall in his little floor seat. He would much rather sit on the couch or in a "big boy seat" (the glider in the nursery or Daddy's recliner).

Witten also loves soft toys. If he is handed a soft blanket or his stuffed hippo he will hold on for a good long while. His grip is much better, but he doesn't often reach out for things. I'm not complaining about that. I can still eat dinner while holding him.

Hates: Loud noises. When I turn on my electric toothbrush in the morning his smile quickly becomes a frown and my blow dryer reduces him to tears. Surprisingly, though, he doesn't mind the vacuum cleaner at all.

This monkey is definitely one of Witten's favorite toys!
New Tricks: Witten has remarkable head control, both during tummy time and just being carried around. He hardly ever bobbles anymore.

No tilting! Such progress...

He cannot roll all the way over, but spends most of the day in this position
This face actually look similar to a few of my baby pictures.
Normally he looks so much like Will to me, but I'm in there somewhere.
The little sweetheart has also learned how to laugh. My favorite activity is trying to figure out what will be funny today and getting him to laugh.

Flying on Mom's Knees. What fun!

The late-night wiggling continues. I swear he burns more calories at night than when he's awake. Check out this fun journey that happened one night:

It is incredible that Witt is not even five months old, and yet it feels like he has been a part of our lives forever. His birth seems so long ago, in the best possible way. I love being a Mom.
