Look at all that hair! Born a red head, it all fell out, and now we have a strawberry blonde on our hands. I LOVE it. Witten's eyes are also changing from the dark blue they were when he was born. Currently they are a lighter blue, but some days they almost look green, and he has a brown ring in the middle of his iris. I cannot wait to see what final color we end up with.
Loves: Screaming and squealing. Powerful lungs and fully-developed vocal cords have translated into ear damage for Mommy. Sometimes he will scream in anger or frustration, but mostly it's just his chosen method of communication these days. Why babble when you can shriek?
Witten is very into lying on his side and also spends a lot of time twisting and arching his back.
The twisting also happens during nap time. And he has discovered the baby monitor camera. He constantly looks me in the eye, asking why did you dump me in here? I was playing...

Hates: Playing by himself while I'm getting ready for the day. This boy is in constant need of stimulation. We used to be able to sit and play the piano for a half hour, but now he is done after five minutes. He also loses it in a hurry if I leave him alone on a blanket or in his baby gym for too long. I tell myself that he gets bored because he's intelligent...otherwise I'd go crazy...
New Tricks: He has rolled over a few times on purpose, if his arms are positioned correctly. Occasionally tummy time will be a rousing success, complete with rolling onto his back and no crying at all. Other times he drops his head and dissolve into tears. It all depends.
Like any good baby, Witten loves to suck. He has finally started to take a binky again (something that hasn't happened since his tongue-tie operation) when going down for a nap. He is never without at least one finger in his mouth, usually two, three or four. He's even attempted to force both fists in at once. But my favorite sucking trick is when he gets a hold of his top lip. It will be so sad when he starts to teeth and his teeth get in the way of sucking his lips over his gums. You really do need to enjoy every moment.
