Under the Big Top

While we were in Burbank we noticed a large white tent downtown and we were told by the family we were staying with that it was a horse show from Montreal: Cavalia's Odysseo. Our original plan was to leave California on Friday, but our friends were kind enough to buy some VIP passes to Odysseo for Friday and there was no way we could pass up going with them. How often do you get to be a Very Important Person?

Any pictures we took at the show would not do it justice. It was spectacular. Two hours of choreographed horses, trick riding, Guinean acrobats, and other performers in a remarkable extravaganza. And we were on the fourth row! Additionally, because we had VIP passes we got a delicious dinner before the show, a dessert buffet at intermission, and a tour of the stables when it was all over. Suffice it to say, we were spoiled rotten.

Every night they braid the manes to keep everything clean and untangled

This horse wanted to say hello
This painted horse was my absolute favorite. I want a painted horse so badly.
But check out his left eye! I have never seen anything like that.
