The Antelope Valley

After one of the most hectic days of student teaching I have ever experienced, we headed out for California on Friday afternoon. Gaining an hour as we crossed timezones, we rolled into the Leona Valley, CA around midnight. The first few days of the trip involved taking it easy, spending time with good friends, and a lot of people being excited that Elder Davis was back. :)

Deep Fried Pickles at Charlie Brown Farms, Palmdale, CA. A compelling idea in theory, but the pickles were pretty low quality. On the whole, not that tasty.
One of the dogs from the house we stayed at in Quartz Hill, CA. He is adorable.
A selection of eggs Will and I dyed with a family in Ranco Vista, CA for Easter
An egg I "marbleized" pink and purple. So proud.

My favorite egg I dyed. An attempt at ombre.
Will's favorite egg he dyed: A Map of the World
Europe didn't turn out the way he wanted, but it's the spirit of the thing.
Theme Song: What a Wonderful World, Louis Armstrong
